A pasoi is not your usual walk — it’s a slow, laid-back stroll through rainbow-colored homes, cozy lanes, old-school bakeries, and little cafés tucked away in Asia’s only Latin Quarter, Fontainhas.

On this pasoi, you will know why Fontainhas got its name…in fact, we’d be pointing it out to you! You’d know why white colour was not allowed on homes, you’ll spot the tiny soldier carvings on windows, and find out why roosters guard Goan rooftops. Or pots adorn some!

Somewhere in between, let’s stop for wood-baked savories at a 95-year-old confectionery, in a tiny lane…you’d be stepping inside an 188-year-old heritage mansion, walking amidst rainbow homes, art galleries, eateries and wonder how this once swampy area transformed to what it is today! You’d love this story! In between, let’s stop for a kopp of feni at a quaint taverna and catch up on the gossip. Let’s wrap up your pasoi with some Goan-Portuguese flavors at an eatery, serving classics like Caldo Verde, Escabeche, and toddy-made po-e/pão.

• Total travel time: The meeting point at For The Record - Vinyl bar takes anywhere from 20-40 minutes from most parts of North Goa.

• You could get your pet. Though, do remember that the streets would have doggos, besides we'd be visiting a home, bakery and an eatery.
