Karvy trail trail - Mumbai Musafir  

What could have the Karvy plant be thinking when it decided that it will not be like other plants which flower annually and flower only once in 8 years ?

Maybe it just wanted to be a teeny little bit different from others?

 So now is the time it has decided to flower after 8 years and we have a special trail to do a darshan of this flower. This gregarious plant is concentrated along the hill slopes. After the flowering the plant dies. The last time the mass flowering happened was in 2016 and the next will be in 2032.
