And our next lecture sits at this exciting intersection of astronomy, biology and chemistry, to help you understand how scientists are decoding the molecular clues scattered across the universe—hoping to trace the origins of life back to the stars.

About the Lecturer:

Pallavi Kajrekar FRAS is a computational astrobiologist who completed her MSc in Astrobiology & Planetary Sciences from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. She is a Fellow at the Royal Astronomical Society(FRAS) and the only Indian researcher at the UK Centre for Astrobiology, Edinburgh. She also happens to the youngest woman to ever receive this honour. As a science communicator and educator, she’s taught astronomy to tribal students in Maharashtra, led astronomy education for students with special needs in Scotland, and currently designs low-cost tools to teach astronomy in conflict-affected regions.Through her work, she blends cutting edge research with real grassroots impact in an effort to bring access to the study of space to everyone.
