Join Inchin Closer in celebrating Chinese New Year as we bring in the Year of the Horse with Mumbai’s vibrant Chinese community at the Kuan Kung Temple, Dockyard Road, on February 16th (Monday). This event offers a unique opportunity to explore the rich cultural heritage of the Chinese community in India.
Our evening begins with a sumptuous dinner at Ling’s Pavilion, Mumbai's oldest Chinese restaurant, at 8:30 PM. This renowned spot in South Mumbai's Colaba district is perfect for savoring authentic Chinese dishes before we head to the temple together at around 11pm.
Mumbai's only Chinese temple, tucked between the sea at Mazgaon and the hills of Dockyard Road, become a beehive of activity during Chinese New year. We will head to the Kuan Kung Temple before midnight and meet the main caretaker who will take us through the rituals to ring in the year of the horse. You will have the opportunity to see what the year of the horse has in store for your zodiac sign, observe Mumbai's Chinese community bring in their new year and take Instagram worthy videos of a traditional Lion Dance.
