Dillipoetry & Subko are coming together to host a unique poetry-writing & coffee-tasting workshop at Sidecar. The two-hour workshop will be a sensory exploration into poetry felt through specialty coffee, while also learning about - different species & notes of coffee, and comparative tasting.
During the workshop, we will fuse the processes of brewing coffee and poetry, letting them bubble & bloom at the edges. Writing poetry cannot be taught nor can it be learned, but conditions can be created where both can be disregarded and a poem can still appear to dent a blank page... the workshop will create such conditions for us to delve into creative tools like facilitated reflection, writing exercises, and absurd intermingling of mediums with coffee as an anchor. The workshop shall encompass self-probing, active participation, and brushing the writing blocks aside. Designed to 'caffeinate' both - beginners and practicing writers. Like any other coffee soiree - conversations will be our oars to row our rafts through poetry.
Lastly, the total slots are limited to 10 - on a first-come, first-served basis.
