It is certainly no longer a hidden gem, but an institution it is. Originally a no frills, eat your heart out local fish spot with barely any seating - Bu Qtair is now a far swankier version of its old self at the Jumeirah Fishing Harbour. If you’re a vegetarian, this may not be the place for you - but if you like your seafood amazing - you’ve come to the right spot. Fish, parotta, long lines, slow service, ridiculously good food, easy on the pocket - all the ingredients for a perfect meal, we think.
