Botanical Chronicles: Nature Journalling Workshop by Sarah Barboze will be a hands-on experience designed to help people of all age groups slow down, observe, and connect with nature. Through a guided exhibition walkthrough, note-taking, and sensory observation, participants will learn to document their surroundings creatively and scientifically. Blending art, science, and personal reflection, this workshop will encourage everyone to bring their ideas to life through nature journaling while deepening their understanding of the natural world.
Sarah Barboze, a Collection and Research Assistant at Sarmaya will conduct this workshop. With expertise in documentation and preventive conservation, Sarah's research focuses on understanding the role of museums in safeguarding intangible cultural heritage. She is a self-taught artist who dabbles with different styles of DIY arts.
There will be a walkthrough of the exhibition - In The Dappled Light: Seeking Nature in Art, Science, and the Spirit at Sarmaya Arts Foundation on view until 4th May 2025. This will be followed by the workshop.
