If the combination of mythical stories, historical temple, and migratory birds sounds interesting to you then this the place you were looking for. Bathu Ki Ladi are a cluster of temples near Pong Dam in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. What's so unique about these temples you ask? They are under water for at least 8 months in a year, and can only be visited from March to June. Now, that we have your attention, let's probe further. Made out of the Bathu stone, these temples spend most of their time under water as the levels increase around the Dam. But it's a sight to behold as many varieties of migratory birds make this their home during summer season as well. You can reach the temple by hiring a boat from the shore. The temple has some connection with the Mahabharata that the locals will be more than keen to share with you.
