About
Honeypots and Chef Inchara
Inchara is the culinary artist behind Honeypots and The Wag Tails Company. Her journey with baking started at the age of 9, when a batch of burnt brownies ignited her passion for kitchen creativity. Fast forward over 6 years of full-time baking, and She has become known for crafting unique goodies with crazy flavor profiles and playful textures. From experimenting with chocolate and brown butter to dreaming up treats like her kefir apple cake (inspired by her fur baby, Sheba!), every creation at Honeypots is a labor of love.
As she continued on her culinary path, She discovered a new passion - creating healthy treats for her fur baby, Sheba. This led her to start The Wag Tails Company, where she crafts wholesome millet based goodies for dogs.
But what drives her is more than just a passion for food - it's the connections she makes along the way. Whether it's through baking, consulting, or simply sharing stories over a sweet treat, she loves connecting with people like old friends.
She is excited to be a part of this food anthropology event, where she can share her love for food, culture, and community.
For her, food is more than just sustenance - it's a way to share stories, history, traditions, and love. So, let's break bread together and celebrate the power of food to bring us closer!
What's Happening on Sunday Afternoon (April 6th)
As we embark on this culinary journey through Asian street food, we’re excited to share the stories and traditions behind each dish.
Our first stop is Indonesia, where Kering Tempeh Kacang , a savory tempeh stir fry, reveals the humble origins of tempeh as the 'poor man's meat.'
Next, we'll transport you to Burma, where Mohinga, the national dish, a traditional fish-based broth served with rice noodles in a hearty, filling portion, unfolds the rich tapestry of cultural exchange along ancient trade routes, particularly between Burma and Chettinad.
[available in a vegan option too]
Finally, we'll delight in Bubur Cha Cha, a vibrant Malaysian dessert, and uncover how occupation forces inadvertently spread tapioca as a staple food across different regions, forever shaping their culinary landscape.
Join us on this flavorful exploration of Asian street food, where every bite tells a story.
Do check out the images of the dishes below.
