Join us for a curated hour-long walk through of the second edition of the Indian Ceramics Triennale, Common Ground, with Art and Wonderment, every Saturday and Sunday at 4 and 5:30 PM.

Common Ground, the theme for the Indian Ceramics Triennale 2024, is a metaphorical and literal exploration of the uneven ground upon which we meet. For the curators, we are separated by politics, history and privilege; yet we are bound by a common humanity and a co-dependent future. Common Ground seeks to create a dialogue between varied pasts and presents, and between materials and methodology, technology and tradition.

The works on display at Arthshila illuminate the underlying web that ties together these multiplicities. Through the language of clay the artists’ works exemplify the idea that we are all - every one of us - a keeper of the earth.

Art & Wonderment Walk Leaders will lead timed, hour long, art hops through the 5 floors of Arthshila, covering the range of practices, techniques and mediums on display. These tours are conversational, engaging and encourage a closer look at a stunning range of artistic practices in clay.

Open to public, free art hops of the exhibition at Arthshila in Okhla, New Delhi, will continue every Saturday and Sunday, at 4 and 5:30 PM, from 27 January to 31 March, 2024.

Please note:

  • Routes through the exhibition may vary on different art hops.
  • Walks will begin on time as scheduled. Participants are requested to arrive at the meeting point 15 mins before the scheduled start time and check in at the registration desk. Latecomers may only join the specific walk for which they have signed up.
  • All artworks on display are labours of love and years of dedicated practice. You don't need to love them all, but avoid disparaging comments.
  • Please avoid carrying large bags or purses into the venue.
  • Most of the works on display are fragile and breakable. Participants must take care, especially with young children, and respect other rules of the venue.
  • By signing up you give consent to be photographed by the AWM and ICT teams. These images may be used across social media, and other publicity materials.
