Join Arts Practitioner Alia in creating a rough-and-ready but fully functional Tarot deck while delving into the visual history of the form, the imagery it is built on, and its various iterations, variations, and offshoots. 

You will take home a rough-and-ready copy of the deck created in the session!

All materials provided. Open to all, no artistry needed! (You're never "too old" to try something new!)

A working introduction to tarot cards and an approach to making them yourself. In learning a playful visual art methodology that can be applied to different fields and practices, we will immerse in systems of esoteric symbology, silly games and lots of art making together.

Alia is an illustrator, theatre practitioner and library worker. She works at Aagaaz Theatre Trust and loves bees, fungi, pranks and radical optimism.
