Map My Stories
Sikkim’s Directorate of Handicrafts & Handlooms was established in 1957 in order to promote traditional art, craft and loom. An underrated gem often overlooked by tourists - the main building acts as a centre for local artists to train in bamboo crafts, weaving, Tibetan mask making and thangka painting. It also houses a museum and an emporium for tourists to shop at.
